Terms

These terms are addressed to the adults responsible for children who use StarSlate. By using the site, or letting a child use it, you accept them.

Use of the site

The games are free for personal and classroom use. You may link to any page. Please do not copy the games, guides or design onto another site, or interfere with the site or its advertising.

Supervision

The site is intended to be used with an adult nearby. We suggest short sessions, and we recommend that an adult stays with children under five.

Educational content

The games give practice in early number, letter and thinking skills. We have taken care that questions and answers are correct, and we fix mistakes when we learn of them. The site is not a curriculum, it does not assess a child's progress, and nothing on it is professional advice about a child's development, eyesight or learning. If you have a concern, speak to a teacher or a health professional.

Ownership

The games, the written guides and the design were made for StarSlate and are protected by copyright.

Advertising and links

Adverts are supplied by third parties and requested as suitable for children. We do not choose individual adverts and do not endorse what they offer.

Copyright complaints

If you believe material here infringes your copyright, email hello@example.com with the page address, a description of the work, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised, and a statement that your notice is accurate and that you own the rights or act for the owner. We will investigate and remove infringing material.

No warranty

The site is offered as it is. It may contain errors and may not always be available. Stars are saved in the browser and can be lost. To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for loss arising from use of the site.

Changes

We may change the games and these terms. The current version is the one on this page. Please also read the privacy page.
